Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage pressure systems compliance and structural integrity across HPC project scopes. You will act as technical focal point with project teams, regulators, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical.
• Strong knowledge of pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements.
• Experience with pressure equipment designed to RCC-M and/or ASME codes.

Responsibilities

• Manage pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements for designated HPC project scopes.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of pressure compliance processes, policies, and standards.
• Ensure project activities meet regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and compliance guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Act as a key interface between project managers, regulators, suppliers, and engineering teams.
• Support technical decision-making and resolve pressure systems compliance issues.
• Monitor supplier delivery and conformity assessment activities across the project lifecycle.
• Maintain SQEP requirements and contribute to nuclear safety and compliance objectives.
