Job summary

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a lead Nuclear Medicine Radiographer/Technologist to champion Quality and Safety across St James University Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary. The role includes regulatory compliance, radiation protection, and the Quality Management System, with incident investigations and learning.

You will collaborate with Radiology and Nuclear Medicine physics teams to support ARSAC delegated imaging and ensure clinical service standard

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in nuclear medicine or related radiography field is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IRR17/IRMER17, CoSHH, and Health and Safety regulations governing radiology.
• Be aware of national and local guidelines for safe working parameters of all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on radiation protection and the Quality Management System across both sites.
• Attend ARSAC-related duties, authorise referrals and SPECT/CT under delegation of licences.
• Support the Team Manager in department operations and maintain clinical skills and visibility to staff.
• Undertake first line complaint handling and contribute to audit and service improvement.
