Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is recruiting a Principal Licensing Engineer to lead licensing and regulatory activities across UK nuclear projects. The role focuses on shaping licensing strategies, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and engaging regulators and stakeholders in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment.

The position offers full-time permanent work with flexible/hybrid patterns across UK locations, travel to sites, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or a related discipline is required.
• Chartered status or working towards professional registration is desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UK nuclear regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensing and regulatory activities across nuclear projects.
• Ensure compliance with UK nuclear safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and key stakeholders.
• Support development of licensing strategies and organisational readiness for approvals.
• Represent projects in meetings with regulators and external partners.
