Job summary

Aalyria Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Solution Architect to drive end-to-end SATCOM and 3GPP mobile network architecture within the Spacetime division.

You will own architectural definitions across space, ground, and mobile network domains, lead customer engagements, and translate requirements into scalable Spacetime solutions. The role emphasizes RAN/Core, NTN/Direct-to-Cell concepts, and cloud-native orchestration, with interfaces to regulatory bodies and industry forums; hybrid or remote UK

Qualifications

• Strong background in 4G/5G mobile network architecture (RAN + Core)
• Proven SATCOM system architecture experience (space + ground)
• Deep understanding of 3GPP architecture, protocols and interfaces
• Hands-on knowledge of RAN concepts: PHY/MAC, scheduling, mobility, beamforming
• Experience producing architecture documents, system diagrams, and technical specifications
• Understanding of 3GPP APIs, RAN OAM and control plane concepts
• Understanding cloud native, NFV, orchestration and automation
• Strong communication and leadership across telco, satcom, defense teams

Responsibilities

• SATCOM and NTN RAN optimization, O-RAN SMO/RIC, SON & RRM
• Design and optimize radio resource management, scheduling and mobility
• Support development of Spacetime resource management solutions
• Address satellite/NTN constraints (Doppler, delay, ephemeris)
• Lead Spacetime orchestration for Direct-to-Cell architectures
• Ensure RRM alignment with ITU-R and regulators
• Understand end-to-end NTN architectures (UE → RAN → Core)
• Lead customer engagements and architecture proposals
• Drive technical trade-offs and architecture decomposition across domains
• Translate requirements into Spacetime specifications and interfaces
• Interact with 3GPP standards bodies and industry forums
• Define automation interfaces and APIs for cross-domain coordination
• Act as technical authority across engineering, product and partners
