Job summary

Semtech Corporation is seeking a Sr. NPI Product Engineer to own new product introduction from concept through end-of-life. You will coordinate across Design, Test, Validation, Quality, Reliability, Applications, and Operations to ensure successful product development and transfer to production.

The role emphasizes DfM/DFT, ATE test program support, data-driven yield improvement, and close collaboration with foundry and internal teams to deliver best-in-class performance.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field; 8+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience in semiconductor technology, product, test and/or design engineering.
• Experience with quality systems including corrective actions, 8D reports, non-conformance reports, and failure analysis reports.
• Knowledge of statistical theory and data analysis tools for DOE, yield reporting and modelling.
• Experience with high-speed digital ATE test platforms (Advantest/Teradyne) is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed serial digital interconnect components and test methodologies.
• Familiarity with JEDEC and Mil quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from concept to final product release and transfer to full-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.
• Participate in milestone reviews, tracking timelines and updates for management.
• Prepare NPI release and OSAT documentation for production transfer and maintenance.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive DFM/DFT feedback to design.
• Support test programs to ensure testability and cost effectiveness.
• Drive product characterization, data analysis, and DOE to optimize yield.
