Senior NPD Technologist

FMCG – Bakery products

The Role:

This Senior NPD Technologist role is a newly created position reporting to the NPD Manager and will play a crucial role in achieving the NPD plan and driving business growth. You must have a solid understanding of the science behind recipe formulation and innovation insights and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the concept-to-launch process. This customer-facing role will require expertise in scaling up recipes from kitchen to factory production and formulating products with a strong grasp of functional ingredients, preservatives, and food additives.

You:

• Previous experience in food technology is essential
• You will need a passion for bakery products
• Ability to identify food trends and leverage consumer insights to drive innovation
• Able to conduct factory trials, manage sample production, and support customer presentations
• Strong understanding of recipe formulation, food safety, and food additives & preservatives
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
• Passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail
• Degree in Food Science or a Food Tech related subject

This position is site-based in North Wales and would require relocation if you are outside the daily commute to our client’s manufacturing site.
