Solirius Reply is seeking an experienced Node Developer with Java or Front End Development experience to join our agile team in London. You will develop and deliver innovative projects as a key member of a team of technology experts, contributing to server-side, API-first solutions and collaboration with frontend colleagues.

The role focuses on building robust back-end services, API integration, database design, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Node.js development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with authentication/authorisation (OAuth, JWT).
• Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerisation.
• Knowledge of web performance, security best practices, and error handling.
• Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL is a plus.
• Experience with messaging (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with microservices.

Responsibilities

• Back-End Development: design, develop, and maintain server-side apps and APIs using Node.js, ensuring performance and security.
• API Integration: work with RESTful APIs and third-party services to extend functionality.
• Database Management: design and maintain data architectures (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Code Quality: write modular, clean, and testable code following best practices.
• Testing: conduct unit/integration testing and debug issues.
• Collaboration: work with front-end teams to integrate components.
• Continuous Learning: stay updated on Node.js trends and apply new knowledge.
• Agile: participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD.
