Job summary

Solirius Ltd. is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team in the UK. You will design, develop and maintain scalable Java applications with a focus on cloud-native microservices and modern software practices. AI-enabled capabilities are highly desirable as we explore advanced solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions while delivering high-quality, secure software in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 12+ preferred).
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems and event-driven design.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle).
• Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GC).
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
• Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and stakeholders.
• Review code, mentor engineers and promote best practices.
• Optimize performance, reliability and security of apps.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD implementations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement durable solutions.
• Explore and adopt emerging technologies to boost capabilities.
