Job summary

Solirius Reply in the UK seeks an experienced Security Cleared Node Developer to join our technology team. You will design and deliver server-side applications, APIs, and data services in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will work closely with clients and colleagues to translate needs into robust solutions, ensure security, performance, and reliability, and contribute to continuous delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with authentication and authorisation mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
• Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker).
• Strong understanding of web performance and security best practices.
• Ability to write clean, scalable code.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps is a plus.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and other data-fetching tech.
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Back-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Node.js.
• API Integration: Work with RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance system functionality.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain MongoDB/PostgreSQL/MySQL architectures for robust storage.
• Code Optimization: write clean, modular, reusable code following best practices.
• Testing & Debugging: perform unit and integration tests; fix issues.
• Collaboration: work with front-end teams to integrate components and ensure UX.
• Continuous Learning: stay updated with Node.js trends and related tech.
• Agile Methodology: participate in sprints, code reviews, and continuous delivery.
