KLA Corporation in Newport (Celtic Lakes) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Design Engineering professional to design and develop improvements to product and processes for manufacturing growth, new product launch, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will lead multiple cross‑functional projects with Operations and Engineering, maintain specs and BOMs in Enovia PLM, and provide technical guidance across Supply Chain and Outsourcing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with proven operational/engineering experience.
• Experience leading multiple projects in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Proficiency with Solid Edge and/or SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and New Product Launch teams.
• Maintain product specs and BOMs with Solid Edge / Solid Works and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Manage specifications with Enovia PLM.
• Lead multiple projects, working multi‑functionally with our Operations and Engineering Teams.
• Investigate and resolve technical challenges to support manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders.
• Understand budgets and support CAPEX requests.
• Implementing change, right first time, following our Product Lifecycle (PLC) process.

Job description

This is an exciting Senior role within our New Product Launch Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team, focused on the design and development of improvements to product and processes to support manufacturing growth, new product, and continuous improvement projects! To be most effective our MDEs have an input in activities across the organisation and, as a result, have a unique ability to develop multi‑functional relationships and contribute to the growth of both the MDE and their support teams technical capabilities. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities:

• Prepare feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and New Product Launch teams


• Maintain product specs and BOMs with Solid Edge / Solid Works and/or AutoCAD Electrical


• Manage specifications with Enovia PLM - Training will be provided


• Lead multiple projects, working multi‑functionally with our Operations and Engineering Teams


• Investigate and resolve technical challenges to support manufacturing processes


• Provide technical or product guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams


• Perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions


• Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders


• Understanding budgets and support CAPEX requests


• Implementing change, right first time, following our Product Lifecycle (PLC) process Is Degree qualified in Engineering field plus proven experience in an operational/engineering role (semiconductor industry desirable)


• Has experience in project management

What You\'ll Do In this role

You will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high‑impact work across your area of expertise. This role will be based in Celtic Lakes. Our new 237,000-square‑foot Newport facility provides additional production and customer collaboration spaces, including 25,000 square feet of R&D clean rooms, 35,000 square feet of state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing space and tool demo areas, all designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies across advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency (RF) and photonics sector technology.
