Job summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a psychologist to join the Sandwell MAS team to expand neuropsychological assessment and holistic input for dementia and cognitive disorders. You will work within an MDT with Memory Assessment staff, nurses, consultants and occupational therapists to ensure expert care.

You will receive supervision from the Dementia Lead and have opportunities to develop neuropsychology expertise across older adults, with emphasis on teaching, CPD and MDT

Qualifications

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessment of clients with complex conditions, using neuropsychological testing and data from multiple sources.
• Undertake risk assessment and management and advise on psychological aspects of risk.
• Deliver training and CPD to the MDT and Older Adult teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessments for dementia and neurodegenerative conditions.
• Contribute to MDT decision-making and determine suitability for neuropsychological input.
• Supervise Trainee Applied Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists.
