Job summary

Node4 is seeking a Principal Presales Consultant with deep networking and infrastructure expertise. You will build client relationships, shape technical propositions and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver client-focused solutions.

You will collaborate across Sales, Architecture and Delivery to develop compelling propositions while mentoring others and driving growth in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Credibility in the infrastructure domain.
• Strong knowledge of networking and connectivity (LAN, WiFi, WAN, SD-WAN) and network security.
• Understanding of Fortinet, Cisco Meraki and Juniper product sets.
• Commercial acumen with ability to grow revenues while considering department impact.
• Excellent communication skills from C-Suite to engineering.
• Influence others through verbal communication with clear, structured technical presentations.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and timely collaboration across teams.
• Proven leadership to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Motivated to lead by example and mentor others on the team.
• Excellent time management to balance urgent needs and strategic work.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical leadership and advocate the effective use of technology to solve complex and varied business problems.
• Take customer requirements (business and technical) and formulate detailed technical solutions for proposals.
• Guide clients in evaluating service choices; provide information and demonstrations to assess business fit and value.
• Actively listen to a client to understand needs and challenge assumptions to uncover root causes.
• Shape a solution within constraints (budget, timescales, regulatory requirements).
• Negotiate with clients and stakeholders to reach an agreed plan.
• Understand commercial levers and adapt proposals to fit a commercial model (CAPEX vs OPEX).
• Understand risk management and governance, shaping proposals to protect the company.
• Use Node4 strategy to inform client-specific technical strategies; contribute to Account Development Plans.
• Consult with subject matter experts to create well-informed proposals.
• Delegate tasks in pitch teams to balance demands and educate others.
• Maintain exceptional time management to handle multiple clients and opportunities.
• Interface with internal teams to unblock technical or business challenges.
• Contribute to future success by winning work and mentoring junior consultants.
• Help develop Go-To-Market strategy for the network portfolio.
• Build relationships with key vendors and partners.
• Follow departmental and company procedures and policies.
