Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer (L4) to provide expert guidance to customers via phone, tickets, and automation. You will own complex issues, advise on pitfalls, and propose automation-led, secure solutions across NSX-T, firewalls, VPNs and network security policies.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, documenting tasks, and coordinating maintenances while collaborating with account teams to build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Networking/Network Security.
• Experience with NSX-T, Palo Alto, and FirePower.
• Relevant networking certification such as CCNA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot, and escalate for firewalls & load balancers, servers, or cloud tooling.
• Create documentation for support and operations tasks regarding the above tools.
• Plan, install, maintain, and optimize network systems, equipment, and applications with security policies.
• Solve engineering problems by owning level-appropriate customer requests to resolution.
• Design, schedule and coordinate maintenances.
• Engineer and implement customized security solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to build strong customer relationships.
• Share knowledge with other engineers and administrators.
• Mentor and train junior Rackers.
• Handle incidental tasks as necessary.
