Job summary

Rackspace Technology in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer (L4) to provide expert guidance to customers via phone, tickets, and automation. You will own complex issues, lead investigations, and communicate progress while ensuring security policies are followed.

You will configure and troubleshoot firewalls and load balancers, document tasks, design secure network solutions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with account teams to strengthen customer

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Networking/Network Security.
• Networking certification (CCNA/CCNP or similar).
• Experience with firewalls and load balancers and security policies.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot, and take escalations for Firewalls & Load Balancers, Windows/Linux administration, or Cloud Native Tooling.
• Create documentation for support and operations tasks.
• Configure, plan, install, maintain, and optimize network systems, equipment, and applications.
• Solve engineering problems by owning customer requests through to resolution.
• Design, schedule and coordinate maintenances.
• Engineer and implement customized security solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants to build customer relationships.
• Collaborate and share knowledge with other Engineers and Administrators.
• Mentor and train lower level Rackers.
• Other incidental tasks as necessary.
