Job summary

Kent Police IT Services are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Services Team, supporting policing across two counties. The role covers data centre networks, security, wireless, and voice systems, with an emphasis on security and voice.

This is a Monday–Friday, 37-hour week with an on-call 24/7 rota (one week in four) and a home-based working arrangement with occasional site visits to Northfleet and Chelmsford as required.

Qualifications

• Proven and demonstrable network experience.
• Experience in network security and mitigating threats.
• Experience in a 3rd line support role.
• Firewall and voice experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop network infrastructure for Kent and Essex Police.
• Safeguard network security and respond to vulnerabilities.
• Support 3rd line network issues and voice systems.
