Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Senior Network Patch Management Engineer to own firmware and software lifecycles across a multi-vendor estate, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers. You will drive risk-based patching, automation, and post-patch validation, coordinating across teams to ensure zero-disruption maintenance.

The role requires 3–6 years in network engineering/operations and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of network engineering/operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications or CS or equivalent.
• Experience with multi-vendor network devices and patch management.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware and software lifecycle across multi-vendor networks.
• Assess advisories and map CVEs to upgrades.
• Develop runbooks with upgrade, rollback, and validation steps.
• Automate patching workflows with Ansible/Netmiko/NAPALM.
• Plan maintenance windows and CAB submissions.
• Ensure backup integrity before patching.
• Post-patch monitoring and RCA documentation.
• Produce patch compliance reports.
