Job summary

Cloud Imperium Games is seeking an IT Network Engineer to own the corporate network across its Manchester, Austin, Frankfurt, and Montreal studios. You will oversee switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and inter-site connectivity with a focus on performance and security.

The ideal candidate has CCNP-level expertise, experience with multi-site design, and strong proficiency in Python/Ansible/Terraform for automation, plus cloud networking across GCP/Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• Expert-level network engineering in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and securing multi-site networks.
• Full-stack baseline across Windows systems, identity/access, cloud, and endpoints.
• Proficient with network automation and infrastructure as code (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Cloud networking exposure across GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Calm and methodical under outage pressure; strong root-cause discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the corporate network across all sites: switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and inter-site connectivity.
• Manage network performance for high-throughput workloads such as Perforce syncs and GPU workstation traffic.
• Design and maintain network segmentation with zero-trust-like access in partnership with Security.
• Lead monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation to build a resilient network.
• Manage vendors and circuits for ISPs and network hardware.
• Provide cross-coverage and participate in an on-call rota for incidents.
