Job summary

Cloud Imperium Games seeks a Senior IT Network Engineer to own and evolve the corporate network across studios in Manchester, Austin, Frankfurt and Montreal. The role focuses on high-throughput traffic, inter-site connectivity and robust security design.

You will lead monitoring, capacity planning, and IaC-driven automation with Python/Ansible/Terraform, while coordinating with vendors and security teams to maintain a resilient network. A strong calmness under outages is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise switching and routing.
• Solid knowledge of BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with multi-site network design and security.
• Familiarity with network automation and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own the corporate network across all sites: switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, VPN, and inter-site connectivity.
• Manage network performance for high-throughput workloads — large Perforce syncs, build artefact movement, and GPU workstation traffic.
• Design and maintain network segmentation and zero-trust-ish access in partnership with the Security function.
• Lead monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation to build a resilient network architecture.
• Manage vendors and circuits for ISPs and network hardware.
• Provide cross-coverage of the wider corporate IT estate and participate in an on-call rota for critical incidents.
