Job summary

FNZ (UK) Ltd is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Edinburgh for an on-site/hybrid role, reporting into the Network Engineering leadership. You will manage FNZ’s enterprise network across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments, ensuring security, resilience, and high performance.

Strong hands-on expertise and collaboration with Platform Services are essential. The role emphasizes design, delivery, and continuous improvement of network services, with emphasis on automation and reducing manual

Qualifications

• Strong experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-class network environments.
• Experience with on-prem, hybrid, and public cloud networks.
• Expertise in OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
• Knowledge of Cisco Nexus switching and data-center design.
• Knowledge of network security principles and secure design.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and evolve secure, high-performing network services across FNZ’s estate.
• Serve as escalation point for complex network incidents and service issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance, availability, and connectivity problems.
• Support lifecycle management: upgrades, patching, configuration improvements, and infrastructure refreshes.
• Collaborate with Platform Services, Infrastructure, Security, and Cloud teams to deliver reliable network outcomes.
