Job summary

GXO is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support GXO's global enterprise network infrastructure, improving reliability and MTTR across the business. You'll work full-time, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 with occasional travel to our Northampton office, and some flexibility is required to meet project deadlines.

The role involves planning, deploying, and optimizing networks, with exposure to SD-WAN, multi-vendor environments, and collaboration with IBM Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network engineering and operations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking: routing, switching, WAN, VPN, WLAN.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies is highly desirable, Fortinet SD-WAN expertise is a plus.
• Experience in outsourced or managed service environments with vendors like IBM.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and incident resolution across multi-vendor networks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute NetMod rollouts with Verizon and deployment teams.
• Communicate incidents and service updates clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver changes, deployments, and operations.
• Coordinate daily with IBM Operations to drive incident resolution and follow-up actions.
• Act as primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors for service delivery.
• Identify operational challenges and contribute to process improvements.
