Job summary
GXO Logistics is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the implementation, operation, and optimization of GXO's enterprise network across the globe. The role aims to improve network reliability, reduce MTTR, and enable project rollouts.
Hours are 09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to the Northampton office and some flexibility. Join a global network team to plan changes, resolve incidents, and coordinate with IBM Operations and external vendors for timely follow-up and
Qualifications
- Proven experience in network engineering and operations.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, WAN, VPN, WLAN.
- SD-WAN experience desirable; Fortinet SD-WAN a plus.
- Experience with outsourced or managed services with vendors.
- Hands-on troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor incidents.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute NetMod rollouts with deployment teams.
- Communicate incidents and service updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for changes and deployments.
- Coordinate with IBM Operations daily for incident resolution.
- Act as primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors.
- Identify operational challenges and drive process improvements.
