Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT department, responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our global network infrastructure. You will work on on‑prem, WAN, Azure, and AWS connections and lead complex incidents while mentoring teammates.

Based in Biggin Hill, the role requires strong Cisco/Palo Alto expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to support event deployments around the world.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related subject; CCNP or equivalent preferred.
• Proven track record in deploying and managing enterprise network solutions.
• Experience with data centre, WAN, and cloud networking environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain secure, resilient IT network platforms across the business.
• Configure and optimise switching, routing, firewalls, load balancers and management tools.
• Monitor health, performance and capacity; pre-empt issues before impact.
• Lead global event deployments and travel to race locations as required.
• Collaborate with IT teams to deliver network services and improvements.
• Ensure GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001 compliance in network environments.
• Document disaster recovery procedures and maintain technical docs.
• Mentor junior staff and drive automation and standardisation.
