Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior network architect to translate requirements into scalable multi-cloud data center designs. You will design, operate, and implement global networks across vendors and clouds, and drive performance and resiliency at scale.

You will develop IaC (Ansible, Terraform) and automation tooling, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, UK G-Cloud. Industry certifications such as CCIE/JNCIE and cloud provider credentials are desirable.

Job description

Translate business requirements into practical network design, reference architectures, design patterns, HLDs, design reviews, runbooks, POCs, FOAs
Design, operate, and implement global multi-vendor, multi-cloud, hybrid data center networks at scale while driving network performance and resiliency
Deploy and manage cloud constructs such as subnet allocations, routing-tables/associations, VPCs, VPC-peering/PrivateLink, Hub-spoke topologies, gateways, and direct connects
Develop and maintain IaC (ansible, Terraform) and automation tooling throughout CI/CD pipeline (Python, Go) to provision networks at scale, while improving the efficiency and velocity of network deployments
Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to incident root-cause analysis
Participate in on-call rotations
Implement network solutions meeting regional compliance and data sovereignty requirements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, UK G-Cloud, EU data residency / GDPR, PCI-DSS)
Design, implement, and operate CrowdStrike's global cloud and data center network infrastructure

Requirements

Proven track record in driving agile cross-functional projects to completion independently with minimal supervision
7+ years expert design & hands-on experience of IPv4/IPv6, Anycast, MP-BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN/VxLAN, L3VPN, CLOS, QoS, Load-balancing, MACsec, and IPsec
5+ years practical multi-cloud networking experience deploying and supporting cloud connectivity at hyperscaler, CSP or security company
Extensive experience in deploying and maintaining large networks using version control, automation frameworks (ansible, Terraform, Chef) and scripts & templating (bash, python, go, jinja, YAML, JSON)
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes
CCIE/JNCIE, AWS/GCP/OCI/Azure (Professional) Certifications
Hyperscaler/CSP background (AWS, GCP, MSFT, OCI or similar)
OpenStack / SONiC / Whitebox, FRR, open source network infrastructure experience
AI/GPU cluster networking fabrics (RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand)
UK Government, G-Cloud, or Sovereign cloud experience
