Job summary

Zen Internet Ltd. is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will build, test and transition core IP, distribution and access networks while supporting operational tools. You will collaborate with NOC and Operations to ensure secure, resilient and high-performing services.

You will document plans, participate in change processes and mentor junior engineers, ensuring adherence to security standards and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• CCNA/JNCIA or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills.
• Experience with large scale ISP networks (MPLS, IPv4/IPv6, ISIS, BGP, QOS, OSPF, NAT, VLAN, STP, VRRP/HSRP, optical).
• Experience with large scale ISP access services: Ethernet access, Broadband (BNG, L2TP, PPP), IP-VPN (L2 & L3), VoIP.
• Experience in IP peering and transit arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects to create build, test, transition and network documentation.
• Build, configure and test networks to meet business needs per engineering processes.
• Document built environments and maintenance plans for safe operations.
• Deliver changes into live environments via change management with peer review and testing.
• Protect the security of services and data.
• Carry out planned work outside office hours when needed to minimise customer impact.
