We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team, playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing our global network infrastructure. You will ensure network stability, security, and efficiency across our operations while driving improvements and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Design & Implementation: Contribute to the development and execution of Assala's global networking roadmap.
2. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Maintain, monitor, and resolve issues in Assala's global network infrastructure.
3. Security & Incident Management: Act as the primary contact for network security events, analysing alerts, vulnerabilities, and potential threats.
4. Supplier & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network service providers, ensuring optimal WAN, LAN, and hardware performance.
5. Configuration & Optimization: Create and modify configurations on Cisco/Arista switches, routers, and firewalls (Firepower & Palo Alto).
6. Threat Analysis & Mitigation: Utilise threat intelligence services and security tools to identify and address vulnerabilities.
7. Automation & Scripting: Implement network automation using Python and Ansible for improved efficiency.
8. Technical Documentation & Training: Enhance documentation, train colleagues, and contribute to knowledge-sharing across teams.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of network design and implementation experience (Data Center, Campus, Wi-Fi, Security).
2. Expertise in routing, switching, and network architecture.
3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
4. Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible) (preferred).
5. Industry certifications (ACE 5-7, CCNA, CCIE) (preferred).
6. Experience in Azure networking and security (a plus).
7. Experience with Network Overlay and Virtualization is highly desired.
8. Enjoys research into emerging threats in the security landscape and identifying and analysing real-world threats.
