Nextech Group, a well-established IT solutions provider, seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead and support secure network projects across multi-site environments. The role involves on-site Abingdon-based activity, with emphasis on routing, switching, VPNs, and cloud-integrated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable network solutions across multi-site environments.
• Lead the delivery of network and core infrastructure projects, including installations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Manage on-prem and cloud infrastructure for high availability, performance, and security.
• Provide senior-level support for routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.
• Administer Windows Server environments, Hyper-V, and related services.
• Support Microsoft cloud technologies: Azure, Azure AD, Office 365, Intune.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and security; identify risks and improvements.
• Apply security policies, patching, firmware updates, and DR solutions.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues with remote/on-site support.
• Produce high-quality technical docs: diagrams, configurations, procedures.
• Collaborate with management to define standards, policies, and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and field teams.

Salary: Up to £57,000 + performance-related bonus

Join a well-established IT solutions provider with over 30 years' experience supporting 400+ client sites nationwide. We're looking for a customer-focused Infrastructure Engineer with strong networking expertise to join the growing team.

The Role

You'll lead and support networking projects, manage infrastructure, and provide remote and on-site support. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable network solutions across multi-site customer environments.
• Lead the delivery of network and core infrastructure projects, including new installations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Manage and maintain on-prem and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Provide senior-level support for routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments, virtualised platforms (Hyper-V), and associated services.
• Support and optimise Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Azure AD, Office 365, and Intune.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and security; proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Implement and maintain security policies, patching, firmware updates, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing remote and on-site support where required.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Work closely with senior management and other technical teams to define standards, policies, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior engineers and field teams.
