Job summary

Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking an ICT Network Specialist to build and maintain the council's network and communications services across the organisation and schools. You will manage performance, resolve faults, and implement secure, scalable network solutions in a dynamic environment.

You will work with the ICT Service Desk to handle incidents and contribute to service improvements while mentoring colleagues and ensuring high-quality end-user experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to investigate and resolve ICT network faults including root cause analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, enterprise scale networks and security practices.
• Experience managing enterprise Wireless LAN infrastructures and IP voice networks.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and maintain ICT network and communications services for the council and schools.
• Manage performance of ICT network and communications infrastructure.
• Respond to incidents and requests via the ICT Service Desk with prioritised resolutions.
• Develop and deliver new network and communication solutions.
• Coordinate project delivery with the Technical Infrastructure Manager and Schools ICT Support.
