Visa is seeking a Staff Network Engineer in London to shape the technical direction of enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, and secure-connectivity.

You will lead architecture reviews, design standards, and incident response, partnering with Security, Operations, Architecture, and vendors to deliver scalable, reliable networks.

This senior role emphasizes autonomy, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive observability, automation, and long‑term technology outcomes.

Formación

• Extensive experience designing enterprise WAN/LAN and secure connectivity.
• Proven leadership in architecture and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong incident response, RCA, and automation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical direction for enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, remote-access, and secure-connectivity solutions.
• Lead the design and technical delivery of the organization's most complex, high-risk, or enterprise-scale network initiatives from requirements and architecture through implementation and operational acceptance.
• Influence and develop network architecture principles, reference patterns, design standards, and reusable engineering practices in partnership with Architecture, Security, Operations, and other technology teams.
• Produce and govern high-level and low-level network designs, technical decision records, implementation strategies, resiliency requirements, and supportability criteria.
• Lead technical-design reviews and ensure solutions address reliability, scalability, capacity, security, observability, automation, and lifecycle requirements.
• Assess network performance, capacity, resiliency, and technical debt and provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead root-cause analysis for significant network events and ensure corrective actions address gaps.
