Job summary

Ocho People is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for a world leading technology organisation operating across 27 countries. The role focuses on .NET/C# development, distributed cloud native systems, and API design with REST and GraphQL.

You will influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable solutions in a hybrid Belfast-based environment. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering position at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining distributed, event driven, cloud native systems.
• Expertise in modern .NET technologies (.NET Framework and .NET Core) using C#.
• Strong experience in API design across REST and GraphQL.
• Relational database design and optimisation (MSSQL/MySQL).
• Hands on cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
• Full SDLC involvement across design, development, QA and post release support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Solution Architects to design and implement solutions aligned with IT strategy and technical vision.
• Take ownership of engineering deliverables, ensuring quality and scalability.
• Design and develop distributed, event driven, cloud native systems across the full SDLC.
• Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs to a high standard.
• Drive continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and methodologies.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering learning and technical excellence.
• Communicate progress and raise impediments to minimise delivery risks.
• Build automated testing solutions for complex systems.
