Bilfinger UK seeks a Senior NDT Coordinator to manage the interface with the Fabrication partner and lead a small team of NDT coordinators on the Hinkley Point C project.

You will ensure safe, efficient execution, drive productivity, attend planning meetings and promote right-first-time practices while maintaining strong safety standards across all NDT activities.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a similar role within the Inspection Industry (5+ years).
• Sound working knowledge of NDT and ANDT equipment, its use, application and maintenance.
• CSWIP 3.2 Welding Inspector qualification in use is preferred.
• Awareness of NDT codes, standards and procedures.
• Ability to lead teams and influence others.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with active listening and coaching ability.

Main Purpose

The Senior NDT Coordinator is responsible for management of the interface between Bilfinger and the Fabrication partner. Responsible for a small team of NDT coordinators, the Senior NDT coordinator shall ensure safe, effective and efficient working and liquidation of backlog. In additional to the backlog, the senior NDT coordinator shall implement working practises, build relationships, attend planning meeting and drive forward productivity of the NDT teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate execution of NDT scopes.
• Attend planning meeting, ensuring NDT is added as a stage gate.
• Influence fabrication partner to ensure scaffold, lighting and relevant enabling works are completed.
• Track backlog and develop liquidation plans.
• Manage small team of coordinators, develop and coach as required.
• Act as single point of contact for Fabrication partner and BUK.
• Represent Bilfinger at planning meetings, raise awareness of BUK requirements, raising awareness of backlog and support the fabrication partner in resolution of blockers.
• Champion right first time methodology
• Hold fabrication partner to account for shortfalls
• Monitor, track and feedback on progress against defined plan.
• Produce priority list request based on project requirements for consideration by the client.
• Identify bottlenecks within planning, inspection and reporting processes.
• Support the implementation of digital workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Promote a strong safety culture across all NDT activities.
• Ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirements.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation when required.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Reduction in last-minute resource conflicts.
• Improved client satisfaction scores.
• Monitor progress of backlog liquidation.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within the Inspection Industry (5+ years).
• Sound working knowledge of NDT and ANDT equipment its use, application and maintanence.
• Radiation Protection Supervisor competence and Qualification (ARS) preferred, not essential.
• Awareness of NDT codes, standards and procedures.
• Currently or previously held CSWIP 3.2 Welding Inspector.
• Ability to lead teams.
• Ability to Influence others.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, active listener and ability to provide coaching and support.
