Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our Community MSK Advanced Practice Service at an enhanced level. You will provide specialist triage for orthopaedic and MSK referrals, deliver advanced clinical diagnoses, and support self-management with MDT collaboration across Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General sites.

You will work autonomously, with leadership in clinical area management and supervision, and contribute to service

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Registered with HCPC.
• Post registration masters (level 7) module(s) or specialised qualification e.g. PgCert / PgDip / MACP.
• Working towards relevant post-graduate study or equivalent.
• Commitment to injection therapy and relevant post-registration Masters.
• Portfolio of mentored practice within specialty.
• Non-medical prescribing.
• Evidence of delivering NHS MSK care in the UK.
• Evidence of quality improvement (audit/evaluation/QI).
• Experience in education, supervision and mentoring of staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Specialist triage for orthopaedic and MSK referrals.
• Advanced clinical diagnosis, prevention and self-management advice.
• Early treatment and appropriate referrals.
• Collaborative MDT work with orthopaedics and pain medicine.
• Deliver safe, client-centred MSK care with enhanced clinical assessments and interventions.
• Support service development and supervision within the MSK pathway.
