Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Gloucestershire is seeking an experienced Specialist (Enhanced level) Physiotherapist (Band 7) to join the MSK Advanced Practice Service. The post is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

You will demonstrate advanced clinical diagnostic skills, work within MDTs, provide triage for orthopaedic and MSK referrals, and contribute to a development program for Band 6/7 progression.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Post-registration Masters level 7 or equivalent qualification.
• Working towards further post-graduate study or equivalent.
• Injection therapy qualification or training planned.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification
• Portfolio of mentored practice in specialty.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous management of patients referred to community MSK interface service.
• Deliver highly specialist MSK outpatient care and community MSK interface service.
• Apply advanced clinical reasoning for diverse or complex presentations.
• Identify and interpret specialist diagnostics to inform care.
• Provide education and guidance to therapy staff and MDTs.
• Support out-of-hours service delivery at Gloucestershire Royal or Cheltenham General.
