Job summary

SRG in North East England is seeking a Principal Scientist MSAT to lead complex biologics programs, support transfer and scale-up, and drive successful delivery into GMP manufacturing environments.

The role requires strong bioprocessing experience (upstream and/or downstream), process transfer/MSAT exposure, GMP experience, and excellent cross-functional collaboration; mentoring is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with recent industry experience.
• Bioprocessing experience in upstream and/or downstream operations.
• Experience with process transfer, MSAT, or manufacturing support.
• Experience in biologics or advanced therapeutics.
• GMP environment experience.
• Strong problem-solving and data interpretation ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead process transfer and scale-up activities into GMP manufacturing environments; act as SME for biologics.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including process descriptions, change controls, and risk assessments.
• Plan and oversee experimental and pilot-scale studies; interpret data and report findings.
• Ensure processes are robust, scalable, and suitable for manufacturing operations.
