Job summary

TipTopJob in Leicestershire is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our global technical organisation within the Chassis team. You will be responsible for the specification, design and development of components and systems that contribute to world class motorcycles, collaborating with in-house manufacturing and external suppliers.

You will produce 3D CAD models using Creo and 2D drawings, follow design and quality procedures, and manage timing plans for your areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in engineering design of components and subassemblies.
• Good understanding of motorcycle chassis layout and construction.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and components for chassis projects with a focus on function, cost, manufacturability and quality.
• Produce 3D CAD models using Creo to required standards.
• Create 2D engineering drawings and release drawings per procedures.
• Follow design, operational and quality procedures and produce supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal test procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to incorporate feedback.
• Manage time and workload, and create timing plans for own responsibilities.
• Support testing of components and motorcycles as needed.
• Provide engineering guidance to team members.
