Allianz UK is seeking an experienced Senior Motor Trade Underwriter to take ownership of complex, high-value new business and build strong broker relationships. This hybrid role offers visibility and impact within a fast-growing national Centre of Excellence.
You will develop a profitable pipeline, deliver high-quality underwriting decisions, and collaborate across distribution, operations and underwriting teams. Salary circa £55,000 with flexible benefits.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Motor Trade Underwriter to join our National Centre of Excellence. You’ll take ownership of complex, high‑value new business, build strong broker relationships, and help drive profitable growth. This is a pivotal role within Allianz UK’s ambition to become the UK’s number one commercial insurer, offering real influence, visibility, and impact in a fast‑growing, market‑leading team. You’ll participate in the Allianz Global P&C Academy, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance supports professional qualifications, such as IFoA and CII, where considered appropriate for business and individuals. This is a hybrid role will involve working from home combined with a minimum of 2-3 days per week in one of our offices in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Chelmsford, Bristol or Southampton.
Pay: Circa £55,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
