Job summary

Allianz UK is looking for a Property Owners Underwriter to join the team in a hybrid Southampton role, coming into the office three days a week. The successful candidate will own major deals, build broker partnerships to drive growth, and represent Allianz at industry events while delivering high-quality client service.

Salary is circa £40,000 per annum and is based on experience and location. Good communication, strong underwriting background, and ability to adapt to fast-changing requirements

This is a hybrid role from our Southampton office, and you'll be required to come into the office three days per week.

Salary Information

Pay: Circa £40,000 per annum.

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

As our Property Owners Underwriter, you'll:

• Take ownership of major deals, using your expertise to win and retain strategic accounts that drive growth.
• Develop trusted partnerships with brokers, leveraging collaboration to unlock new opportunities and strengthen market presence.
• Represent the business confidently through face-to-face engagement, networking, and active participation in industry events.
• Support team development by guiding peers, reviewing referrals, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service.
• Work closely with internal departments to streamline processes and deliver seamless, client-focused solutions.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for priority clients, anticipating needs and delivering tailored, responsive support.

Essential skills

• Proven expertise in underwriting/assessing complex risks; if you have strong Underwriting or broking experience, we'd love to hear from you.
• A track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks and cases
• Proven ability to manage broker relationships that fuel growth and long-term retention
• The ability to adapt and react with a commercial mind to short notice change
