Runna is building the #1 training platform for runners, delivering world-class training, coaching and community. We operate with a cross-functional team in London and follow a flexible hybrid model, with 3 days on-site per week.

You will build and refine training features, experiment with algorithms, and mentor engineers to maintain high-quality, scalable code. Join during exciting growth after our Strava acquisition.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a software engineering or modelling role.
• Proficiency in Python (OOP) and production-ready code.
• Ability to design complex algorithms and modelling components.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with iterative development and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deliver new training features and adjust plans (e.g., illness, injury, weather).
• Experiment with algorithms, design patterns, optimisations and modelling approaches.
• Mentor engineers, provide code reviews and ensure no bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with coaches to deliver expertise to users.
• Use data-driven approaches to influence algorithms where possible.
• Design and implement test approaches to ensure consistency and accuracy.
