Job Title: Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer
Location: Bristol

About the Role:

  • Focus on the marine business unit, working on groundbreaking commercial and defence projects.
  • Lead the development of control system performance, equipment modelling, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Engage in modelling, simulation, dynamics, and control activities, leveraging over 30 years of company expertise.
  • Collaborate with a team to produce models at vehicle and system levels, representing plant and control algorithms.
  • Utilize MathWorks tools, including Simulink and associated toolboxes.
  • Participate in peer reviews and prepare comprehensive model documentation.
  • Engage with clients by presenting results and models, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional communication.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and understanding of version control software (e.g., GIT).
  • Experience with hydro-actuated systems, electro-mechanical systems, or multi-body simulation.
  • Strong foundation in vehicle dynamics, systems engineering, and advanced control theory.
  • Professional attitude, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
