Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a Deputy Head of Model Reporting to lead the Capital Modelling team’s use of the internal model and to oversee regulatory capital reporting across Lloyd’s syndicates. You will work with Ceded Reinsurance, Pricing and Third-Party Capital to ensure accurate, timely analyses and robust governance.

You will provide technical direction, drive model validation, and manage a small team while communicating complex analyses clearly to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Near-qualified or qualified actuary with substantial experience in an actuarial risk or capital modelling environment.
• Hands-on experience of using, maintaining or developing stochastic capital models.
• Experience of reviewing technical work and managing deliverables to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the incorporation of new business plans into the internal model and analyse movements from the previous plan.
• Oversee modelling outputs, capital reporting and governance across Lloyd's syndicates.
• Partner with reinsurance, pricing and capital teams to assess risk transfer and capital impact.
• Provide technical direction and coaching to juniors while ensuring clear documentation.
