Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Mobile) to shape the future mobile technology landscape. The role is based in Bristol or London and involves defining and orchestrating complex solution architectures that support strategic business outcomes in line with our technology strategy.

You will work across product, engineering and architecture teams to provide technical direction, move delivery faster, and ensure mobile solutions are secure, resilient and scalable.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and leading end-to-end solution architectures across applications, services, platforms and environments.
• Strong knowledge of mobile architecture principles across Android and iOS, including APIs and backend integration.
• Experience shaping architectural roadmaps and communicating trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Understanding of security, resilience, and operational readiness considerations.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments and partnering with engineering, product and architecture teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for complex mobile initiatives, aligning with objectives.
• Create architecture roadmaps, designs and technical options to enable delivery at pace.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and Enterprise Architects to align priorities and plans.
• Embed secure-by-design and resilient-by-design principles into mobile solutions from discovery to live service.
• Identify and manage architectural risks, debt and cross‑platform dependencies while balancing priorities.
