Job summary

Starling Bank is seeking a highly motivated Mobile Security Engineer to design, build and maintain security for our Android and iOS mobile apps. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security controls and enhancements across the mobile development lifecycle.

The role requires deep knowledge of Android and iOS security, experience with Swift/Kotlin/Java, and practical cloud and cryptography skills.

Qualifications

• Strong Mobile Security knowledge for Android and iOS
• Proficiency in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android)
• Practical knowledge of public cloud (IaaS) technologies
• Reverse engineering capabilities for mobile apps
• Cryptography for protecting data and network communications
• Awareness of mobile threat landscape and security testing

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security for Android and iOS apps and data on devices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to remediate mobile security vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and operations on security best practices.
• Monitor emerging threats and trends in mobile security.
• Create automated security testing and vulnerability management in the SDLC.
• Ensure adherence to global security standards and regulatory requirements.
