Job summary

Starling Bank is seeking an Android engineer to join our mobile team to help deliver the Starling Android app with Kotlin, MVVM, and Jetpack Compose. You’ll contribute to features that delight customers and work across cross-functional teams.

You’ll collaborate with mobile leads, QA, and design on accessibility, security, and rapid releases while expanding modern Android tooling and code quality.

Qualifications

• Proven Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of MVVM and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Espresso/JUnit testing.
• Awareness of accessibility considerations in mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android app features across product squads.
• Write tests and participate in CI pipelines with QA teams.
• Collaborate with designers, product, and mobile leads to deliver iterations.
