Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native), you will take a lead role in developing and enhancing innovative mobile experiences for our enterprise-grade SaaS platforms. You’ll focus on front-end development, primarily using React Native, ensuring exceptional performance, seamless user interfaces, and a robust technical foundation. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and Senior Engineers, while mentoring and guiding developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality features and enhancements for our SaaS mobile applications using React Native.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, promoting best practices and ensuring the delivery of dependable estimates.

• Work closely with senior stakeholders to refine and execute the mobile technical roadmap in alignment with business goals.

• Foster a strong developer community by contributing to knowledge sharing, guilds, and the adoption of industry-leading practices.

• Actively participate in sprint planning and execution, ensuring the smooth delivery of incremental improvements.

• Focus on scalability, automated testing, CI/CD, and robust technical documentation to maintain a high-quality mobile app.

What We’re Looking For

Essentials

• Strong expertise in building mobile applications with React Native, including experience with Expo or bare workflow.

• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, and app deployment to both iOS and Android.

• Familiarity with TypeScript, Redux, and REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Experience working with third-party libraries, integrations, and asynchronous data flows.

• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for mobile apps, such as Jest, and Detox.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for the bare workflow, including tools like Fastlane and Bitrise.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills, with a track record of working in remote, collaborative teams.

• A results-driven, pragmatic problem solver with a passion for personal growth and improving ways of working.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with native development (Objective-C, Swift, Kotlin, or Java) for custom module development.

• Familiarity with the Expo package library and Expo Application Services (EAS).

• Familiarity with app-management platforms and their associated features (e.g. Firebase)

• Experience with cloud services like AWS, particularly those related to mobile app scalability and performance.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and delivering within a fast-paced SaaS environment.

• Experience optimizing apps for enterprise clients, including scalable and customizable features.

• Experience developing web applications targeted for web browsers, leveraging frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
