Job summary

Ideagen in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to own the delivery of complex mobile features across iOS and Android. You will lead technical migrations, drive quality across architecture, performance, security, and accessibility while guiding the squad and mentoring engineers.

This hands-on role focuses on building new products, not just maintaining legacy apps, within a global engineering organisation.

Qualifications

Experience in native mobile development for iOS or Android, with modern language knowledge.
Proven delivery of complex mobile features and migrations.
Strong knowledge of architecture patterns, modularisation, DI, and async programming.
Commitment to clean, maintainable, well-tested code and automated tests.
Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance.
Comfort with using AI-assisted development tools and orchestration workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex mobile features, migrations, and platform improvements for iOS, Android, or both.
Drive high-quality engineering practices across architecture, performance, security, accessibility, and maintainable code.
Lead use of AI agents and orchestration workflows for delivery, testing, and problem-solving, sharing best practices.
Build and enhance automated testing, CI/CD, and release processes for reliable mobile apps.
Mentor and support engineers, reviewing designs and specifications.
Collaborate across teams to shape mobile standards and influence technical direction.
Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and platform capabilities from idea to implementation.
