Senior MLOps Engineer: AI/GPU HPC Infra & Orchestration

Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a senior engineer to expand the MLOps and System Administration team in the Cambridge area. The role focuses on provisioning and maintaining multi-rack GPU server clusters for both inference and training workloads, marrying high-end hardware with complex software orchestration.

You will work as part of a small team, playing a visible, pivotal role in supporting research and development infrastructure at the cutting edge of AI and deeptech platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering experience in roles such as System Administration, HPC Engineering, MLOps Engineering.
• Modern GPU server deployment, tuning and management.
• Advanced networking technologies (Infiniband, RDMA, RoCE).
• Advanced Linux skills and experience working with servers running hypervisors/VMs and multiple distributions (e.g. Ubuntu, RHEL).
• Expertise in source code management (e.g. Git).
• IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, OpenTofu).
• A strong understanding of network design and switch/router/firewall configuration.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain multi-rack GPU server clusters for inference and training.
• Collaborate within a small team to support research and development infrastructure.
• Design and optimize high-performance networking and storage configurations.
