Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking a Senior AI Systems Administrator in Cambridge to deploy and manage multi-rack GPU clusters for training and inference. You will design high-performance InfiniBand networks, run Linux across multiple distros, and treat the infrastructure as code with Git and Terraform/OpenTofu.

The role requires hands-on GPU deployment and a strong background in HPC, MLOps, and advanced networking.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Systems Administrator, HPC Engineer, MLOps Engineer or similar.
• Hands-on GPU server deployment and tuning.
• Strong InfiniBand/RDMA/RoCE knowledge and solid network design skills.
• Advanced Linux, virtualisation, Git and infrastructure-as-code experience.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, tuning and managing modern GPU servers across several racks.
• Building and running high-performance networks (InfiniBand, RDMA, RoCE), plus the switches, routers and firewalls around them.
• Running Linux at an advanced level across several distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL), including hosts running hypervisors and VMs.
• Managing the estate as code with Git and Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Working closely with researchers and engineers to keep improving how the systems perform.
