Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a senior engineer to expand the MLOps and System Administration team in the Cambridge area. The role focuses on provisioning and maintaining multi-rack GPU server clusters for both inference and training workloads, marrying high-end hardware with complex software orchestration.

You will work as part of a small team, playing a visible, pivotal role in supporting research and development infrastructure at the cutting edge of AI and deeptech platforms.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering experience in roles such as System Administration, HPC Engineering, MLOps Engineering.
• Modern GPU server deployment, tuning and management.
• Advanced networking technologies (Infiniband, RDMA, RoCE).
• Advanced Linux skills and experience working with servers running hypervisors/VMs and multiple distributions (e.g. Ubuntu, RHEL).
• Expertise in source code management (e.g. Git).
• IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, OpenTofu).
• A strong understanding of network design and switch/router/firewall configuration.

Responsibilities

My client is an exciting growing tech company focused on building cloud platform services for the AI and deeptech research community.

They are looking to expand their MLOps and System Administration team by hiring a further senior engineer, to continue building/supporting their infrastructure, which is used for research and development.

The role will involve provisioning & maintaining multi-rack GPU server clusters designed for both inference and training workloads. This role is perfect for a hands‑on engineer who thrives on the intersection of cutting‑edge high‑end hardware and complex software orchestration.

Key Skills/experience Required
