Job summary

Wise is building the next-generation ML platform for financial crime detection. We seek a Senior ML Platform Engineer to design and implement scalable, reusable infrastructure that lets data scientists focus on model improvements.

You will own the end-to-end ML lifecycle tooling, from training pipelines to monitoring, with a strong emphasis on reliability, security and adoption across teams. Hybrid UK work model offered.

Qualifications

• Experience building ML platform infrastructure in production—training pipelines, model serving, evaluation frameworks, or monitoring systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with reliable, well-tested systems.
• End-to-end understanding of the ML lifecycle and where things break.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building the declarative training pipeline.
• Building model packaging and serving abstraction with a unified API.
• Implementing the model evaluation framework with standardised metrics.
• Building model monitoring with drift detection and automated retraining triggers.
• Owning the integration layer with Wise's central ML infrastructure.
• Maximising data science productivity by shifting time from maintenance to detection improvements.
