Job summary

Flagship Pioneering is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy ML systems powering our platform. You will focus on LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic orchestration, influencing architecture and ML best practices across teams.

You will own end-to-end ML pipelines, work with data engineers and scientists, and help productionize models with robust monitoring and cost-conscious deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/ML.
• 5+ years of professional, applied ML experience.
• Proven production deployment of LLM-powered apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy ML systems powering the product.
• Architect scalable RAG and LLM-based solutions with multi-modal data.
• Develop agentic orchestration frameworks for end-to-end reasoning.
• Own the ML pipeline from data to deployment and monitoring.
• Fine-tune models for production with attention to latency and costs.
• Set up lightweight MLOps and CI/CD practices.
