Job summary

Epic Games seeks an applied research engineer to advance bots and intelligent agents in real-time games. You will design, implement, and deploy production-ready ML models at scale within our ecosystem, focusing on bots, world modeling, and automated QA/testing tasks.

You will work at the intersection of computer vision, NLP, and machine learning, evaluating new data channels and contributing to a cutting-edge AI roadmap for Unreal Engine content teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field or 3+ years of industry experience.
• Proven experience applying ML algorithms for bot behavior, vision-based or language-instructed models.
• Production-level deployment of ML models in-game environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver production-ready ML models and algorithms for bot actions in game environments.
• Assess model effectiveness and contribute to roadmap planning.
• Support data collection and creation of new data channels for model training.
